HARRISBURG, Oct. 31 – The George Scott for Congress campaign ended October with enthusiastic endorsements from the major newspaper editorial boards of Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District. PennLive and the York Daily Record praised Scott’s commitment to unifying, bipartisan solutions for the working families of South Central Pennsylvania, while sharply criticizing Scott Perry’s record as a divisive and extreme right-wing partisan.

“These endorsements are a reflection of our campaign’s hard work to give everyone in South Central Pennsylvania a voice,” said campaign manager Jason O’Malley. “Our campaign is about changing the culture of Washington to be one of integrity, service and compassion. Scott Perry has spent his political career serving extreme, far-right special interests rather than the working families of our region. That’s why we need to send George Scott to Washington to be a true leader and public servant.”

PennLive: For U.S. Congress: Democrat George Scott is the best choice

“Scott, who aspires to be a ‘servant-leader,’ is a political moderate at a time when American politics is badly in need of some moderation… His aspiration to bipartisanship in an institution where that tradition is a dying art was also refreshing.”

York Daily Record: YDR editorial board endorses George Scott over Scott Perry

“When George Scott, Democratic candidate for the Pa. 10th congressional district, stopped by for a chat with YDR’s editorial board, we asked him which House caucuses he would align himself with if elected. He emphasized the Problem Solvers caucus. Good answer… We think voters should give George Scott a chance to help change the tone in Washington.”
